You are why we do what we do
From Wine Novice to Life Guide – and Everything in Between!
So here I am, back in the classroom full-time, yet unable to silence my creative, reactive side. Over the years, I’ve dipped into all the things I love—some of which, quite frankly, I created because I needed them just as much as anyone else. Like wine! For a long time, I loved drinking it but felt absolutely clueless when picking out a bottle. That’s why I wrote my wine guide and journal, a little helper that teaches me (and hopefully you) the essentials of wine tasting and keeping track of the perfect finds. Who knows, it might save us both from those awkward bottle-choosing moments!
Oh, and don’t get me started on HYLA. Being a mom, wife, teacher, and everything in between, I don’t have a cleaner, but I do have a fabulous sidekick in HYLA to help around the house—it’s truly a lifesaver. And my candles? Let’s just say they’re becoming even more exclusive. With less time on my hands, each candle I pour is that much more precious.
Now, a bit about me: Born in 1980, I’m a mom of two incredible, strong-minded girls, married, and totally smitten with our dog, Cooper. But it wasn’t always smooth sailing. For years, I fought with my body, sidestepped mirrors, and avoided pools, touch, photos, you name it. My journey toward a healthier self began as a mission to lose over 30 kg, but it quickly turned into something so much deeper.
The struggle was real—not just physically but mentally. The toughest part was breaking the cycle of negative self-talk and not letting setbacks derail me. But one thing was clear: I refused to give up the pleasures of life—cooking for loved ones, sharing laughter over food, and sipping a fine glass of wine. That’s non-negotiable.
I found my way through intermittent fasting, discovering a balance that allowed me to indulge in my culinary passions guilt-free. This journey opened doors to other areas—nutrition, movement, and the magic of weightlifting. Especially now, over 40, with menopause shifts and all, strength training became essential.
And then there’s jogging. For over almost 2 years now, Cooper and I have been hitting the road 4-5 times a week. It’s my time to clear my head, trust myself, and stay fit. And this journey of self-development led me to something even bigger: becoming a certified holistic life coach. Now, I’m sharing my path and passion, helping others create a balanced, joyful life.
In our home, creativity lights up everything. DIY projects are a family favorite, and candle-making is a big part of it. Every Manoé candle I pour is crafted with love and a dash of playfulness, reminding me that laughter and time spent together are the heart of well-being. At the Manolé Atelier, we bring this to life in our workshops—creating, connecting, and savoring each moment.
Today, I’m proud and grateful, living a life that’s vibrant, balanced, and true to me. If you’re ready to start your own journey of transformation, join me. Let’s find the spark in every day and embrace the life you’ve always dreamed of. Cheers to the journey
